Join us for our ‘Microchip your Pet’ event and help provide your best furry family member(s) with an added layer of protection, should they ever become lost!
All pets will be scanned prior to insertion for a microchip. Shelter staff and technicians will insert the microchip via a sterile large bore needle. Your pet may feel a slight discomfort at the insertion of the needle however it will be minimal and quick. There is no recovery period. Your pet should have no complications post-insertion however rare cases may develop.
Pet owners are required to register their pet’s microchip with PetLink. This is very important as your microchip will be registration will be incomplete without this step. Please note: microchips are not GPS tracking devices. They only serve as an identification tool for recovered lost animals when properly registered.
We advise that you contact your vet team with your pet’s microchip information so your pet’s records are accurate.
Microchip Pre-Registration
Please complete the registration form below. You will need to complete this form for EACH pet you plan to microchip. One form will not suffice for multiple pets. Pre-registration will be open until Friday, October 2nd, 2026. For our records, we need the following information from each participant. Please complete the form to the best of your knowledge. We will collect payment day of the event - it is $40 per pet that is pre-registered prior to Saturday, October 3, 2026 and $45 per pet for any same-day registrants.
Accepted payment methods: cash, check or card (+4% fee).
In the event, you are late or a no-show to your appointment, we may offer your appointment slot to another individual and you may need to wait. You will be charged the $45 same day fee if you are late. Please be on time to your desired appointment time.
